I just purchased the X70 to replace a 10 year old Bose system. What an upgrade! I’m thrilled with most EVERYTHING except for one important thing. In cinema mode - which seems most immersive - I can hardly hear the dialog in a movie over the sound effects. I am using the default, out of the box, settings in the app and on the soundbar. What adjustments are recommended to improve voice clarity in cinema mode?
Also, I have a LG Oled C4 tv. Are there optimal settings for the tv audio to maximize the X70 performance?
Thank you. I’m excited to be a contributing member of the community!

Welcome to the Ultimea family!
Thank you for choosing the Skywave X70 and sincerely appreciate your initial feedback—we fully understand that vocal clarity is crucial to the viewing experience, especially in the grand soundscapes of cinematic sound.

Tips for Optimizing Vocal Clarity on the X70
Try the following adjustments using the Ultimea app or remote control. These settings can significantly improve dialogue while retaining the immersive feel of Movie mode:
Enable "Voice Enhancement" mode

Press the "VOICE" button on the remote control, or select "Dialogue Enhancement" directly from the "Sound Mode" section in the app. This is the most direct and effective solution.
Manually Adjust the EQ (Equalizer)

Go to "EQ" or "Sound Settings" in the app and try:
Boost the mid-range by 2-3 notches. This will directly enhance the vocal range.
Slightly reduce the bass by 1-2 notches to reduce the amount of background sound masking the dialogue.
Make sure "Dynamic Range" is set to "Standard" rather than "High" to avoid overly dynamic sound effects.
Try "Standard" or "Music" modes.

Cinema mode can sometimes overplay the surround effects. Compare this to "Standard," which generally provides a more balanced performance between vocals and sound effects.

LG OLED C4 TV Audio Setup Recommendations
To ensure optimal performance from your X70, please set up your TV as follows:
Go to Settings: Settings > Sound > Advanced Settings
Audio Output: Select "HDMI eARC"
Digital Audio Output: Set to "Passthrough" or "Auto" to ensure the original soundtrack is transmitted to the X70 without loss of quality.
Turn off the TV's built-in speakers: Go to Sound > Sound Output and select "External Speakers."
Disable Audio Processing: Disable any built-in audio processing features on the TV, such as "Dolby Atmos Compatibility," "AI Sound Optimization," or "Surround Sound Simulation," allowing the X70 to handle audio decoding.
We hope these adjustments will improve your experience immediately! Please take a few minutes to try it out and let us know if it improves. Your voice is incredibly valuable to us, and we look forward to hearing more from you in the community.
If you need further assistance, we're always here.
Thank you again for your trust, and we hope you enjoy every movie!
