Soundbar Ultimea Skywave X70 – A Game Changer for Home Theater Immersion

Why is it so low for a $1000 system? My $200 Sony HT S20R has 400 Watts.
The power of the Skywave X70 system reaches 980 W of total peak power. This figure comes both from the manufacturer’s technical specifications and from independent reviews that confirm it.

And right now it is available in the US pre-order offer for $559 USD. 🤔

You're right. Simply comparing power figures from different brands and with different marking methods can be confusing. The Skywave X70 has a peak power of 980W.
Peak power demonstrates a system's ability to handle a wide dynamic range. A system with high peak power means it can avoid distortion (clip-up) when playing sudden, intense sound effects, maintaining clarity and impact. However, this doesn't mean it operates at that high power all the time. The 980W peak power rating is intended to indicate a system's exceptional dynamic power, capable of reproducing the most powerful moments in movies and games without distortion.

Ultimately, when judging a system's quality, it's far more important to listen to its actual performance in person than to compare specs on paper. I hope this explanation is helpful! 🙌

Skywave X70 has an RMS power of approximately 304 watts. 😊
I have always known that Ultimea falsely advertises over rated wattages as it shows it's 980 watts. The Nova S50 & Aura A40 I have don't have nearly the wattage shown either & is obvious by the max volume you get from them. Nice to see the real number here. This makes sense. They really need to show true RMS power of all their soundbars on all models. It is extremely misleading to the consumer. Thanks for this info.

Thank you for raising this very important and professional question. We understand that clear and transparent specifications are crucial for consumers to make informed purchasing decisions.

Here, we would like to provide some background information and explain our position and actions:

Industry Practices and Our Notation: In the consumer electronics industry, particularly in the audio field, there are different power testing standards and notation conventions. The RMS (rated power) you are concerned about is an important indicator of sustained output capability. Currently, the power listed on our product data sheets is generally based on a comprehensive reflection of the driving capabilities of each channel under specific test conditions.

Listening Experience First: We would also like to add that the ultimate sound quality experience is the result of the combined effects of power, speaker driver design, cavity structure, acoustic tuning, and decoding technology. Power figures are fundamental, but they are not the only factor in determining sound quality and volume. We sincerely hope that your actual listening experience of our products will satisfy you. 🤗

Sincerely,
The Ultimea Team

They really need to put the correct RMS true wattage with the advertised product. Putting up 980 watts for a true RMS 304 watts is not only wrong, it's well over 3 times it's true wattage. This I have always known is an absolute lie by the max volume the particular unit produces. I own the Nova S50 & the Aura A40 so I well know these numbers currently being shown are bogus. Not only does this create a huge negative view of Ultimea for doing this, anyone that is the least bit tech savvy can see it is BS. It is far better to be honest with your consumers to put actual real RMS numbers for ALL of your systems to better receive respect from your customers.
