I hope my next thread will be about a real-life hands-on experience review of the Skywave X70 soundbar 😁 That would be the best way to dive even deeper into what this system can actually deliver!

Looking forward to more discussions here. 🚀

Can someone please explain if the x70 can connect to marantz 7.1 receiver? What connections?
The Ultimea Skywave X70 is an all-in-one soundbar system. It lacks external ports and can't be connected to a Marantz 7.1 amplifier. However, the X70 has a built-in amplifier, decoder, and speakers. It can be connected directly to a TV (via HDMI eARC for the best experience).

We hope this helps, and we wish you happy exploration! 🙏

I had a Vizio V51-H6 5.1 soundbar system E-Arc hooked up to my Sony 90 series Bravia. That soundbar was horrible to auto connect to the tv thru the E-Arc connection. I recently purchased the Skywave X70 & NO more issues connecting to my Sony tv! Bravo! I have fought this issue for a couple of years, & it was awful to get that Vizio to switch from tv to the soundbar if it lost connection in any way. So far so good with the X70 as it's awesome sounding, great bass, & connects well to my Sony. I have always wondered if others have had Vizio issues or if it was just my unit, but I don't know. I did have some issues on the Bluetooth connection of the Subwoofer to the rear satellite speakers. Neither would pair just powering on, so I had to hold button in on sub to begin the connecting after putting both rear speakers in pairing mode. One of them connected but the other didn't connect. I then decided to unplug the speaker, plug it back in & re-enter pairing mode. After doing that it connected fine to the subwoofer. I haven't listened too much to actual Dolby Atmos content as of yet, but the Xupmix doesn't seem to do much for the up mixing from what I can tell so far. Maybe it's more the source, I don't know. It is pretty neat that you can hear the sound change some from left to right when somebody is speaking and turns their head to that direction. I have my rear satellite speakers up really high so I need to order a couple of brackets to angle them down some & inward a bit. I can't put them any lower with other placement issues. It can be tricky from what I have read to get a perfect setup for your sound system positioning. The app was an absolute moody problem to get it to see the soundbar, but once it did all is well. I think it may have been just a minor software issue, but I just keep tinkering with it until it connected to the app. I already had my first firmware update last evening with it, & let me tell you all that app is SWEET to enable updating of firmware through the app & it works great! No going to the computer to fetch or even look for the file, downloading/transferring to flash drive, then plugging in to soundbar to go through all of that to get firmware installed! It even automatically notified me that there was an update available for my X70 which is awesome, & far better than most often not even knowing if there is an update for the firmware or even getting notified without the app. Really a huge improvement. As far as the equalizer sounds the cinema for me is the only one that is the best of the best for everything, movies, music, whatever. To each their own of course, but going through all the choices I didn't find any others that was suitable to use in my opinion. I had concerns in my mind that the bass would possibly be strong at night time when the wifey goes to bed, but even with it on cinema with bass all the way up, treble & midrange in the center on the app which is that way by default, it is perfect & not overdone on bass at lower volumes. Now, on the volume controls I now can see the number on the tv & the soundbar both at the same time, and it goes up 1 at a time! That Vizio never showed me on the tv when changing volume unless I used the actual tv remote, then it would only change in 2's. This is a huge improvement for me to get sound exactly where I want it, & see it on tv and the X70. It cooperates very well with my Formuler Z11 Pro Max also, so if any of you here use this device it might be of good note to mention. I have ran in to something that somebody can help me understand. After connecting my Bluetooth up for the X70 to the tv, on the Bluetooth the rear satellite speakers don't work. No output of sound to the rear satellite speakers at all using it. It isn't a big deal really as I most likely won't use it, but may use it to stream music with my phone at times so I do wonder if this is normal or something is wrong as to why the rears won't work via Bluetooth. Originally I tried to use my Formuler with the HDMI input on the soundbar but that didn't work well at all so I just put it back on the port in the tv. I have no clue why it didn't like the connection but it really wasn't needed for me since the tv port worked fine. Overall a happy customer to own this beast!

Awesome review! You didn’t miss the slightest detail and it’s truly appreciated. I’m sure it’ll help a lot of people who run into the same issues you mentioned. Thanks for taking the time to document everything and explain it so clearly—you can tell there’s a lot of work behind it.

Regarding Bluetooth, I’ll start digging into it and, as soon as I have something solid, I’ll share it here so it can help others too. If you can, please also add the firmware version and how you have it connected (HDMI eARC, optical, etc.) so we can fine-tune the solution. Great post!

Thanks! I got a couple of snapshots to put here of my new X70 setup. On the firmware version, last night it went to V17 & if I am remembering right it was V13. I know I checked for an update when first installed thinking there would most likely be one but there wasn't. Now after updating I have not checked the Bluetooth connection to see if the rears work of not. I will have to research that yet. I am using HDMI E-Arc. When I switch to Bluetooth it loses the rears. I have tilt maximized to enable better viewing since the tv is mounted up pretty high. Also is good that the bottom of tv still isn't in the way at all of the Dolby Atmos speakers. At my cats request they didn't want the tv in the way of THEIR entertainment center lounge areas! 😂 so also the reason of mounting the soundbar up a bit higher from the entertainment center to keep them from doing anything to it. You know that brings to mind something else of a good thing I didn't mention in the review that many would love to know. Since I have cats the speakers need to be well protected in case they decide to get at them with their claws. My old Vizio V51-H6 has the soft cloth covering the speakers which can cause problems not only with puncturing through to the speaker as it will give letting your fingers in to the speaker even when carrying for example. This & every soundbar that I know of that Ultimea makes (please correct me if wrong) doesn't have any cloth front speaker covers but they are all well protected by hard metal or aluminum or alloy that is very solid to protect the speakers. HUGE & great way to do the build for sure!
