Hi everyone
After several days testing the Skywave X40, I want to share my experience because it honestly exceeded my expectations. From the very first moment you can tell this isn’t just another soundbar, but a real step up in power, design, and listening experience.
Unboxing & first impressions
The product presentation already shows great attention to detail. The packaging is well protected, with each component neatly organized. When I took it out, the first thing that caught my eye was its sleek, understated metal finish—and especially the subwoofer in matte black with subtle gold accents. It stands out without being flashy and blends in perfectly with the living room.

Setup & first tests
Setup was very simple: in under ten minutes I had it connected via HDMI eARC to my Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 65". Everything worked flawlessly from the start. The remote control deserves a special mention: elegant design, well-laid-out buttons, and excellent precision when switching modes or adjusting the volume, which makes the overall experience very comfortable.
Connectivity & wireless links
In practice, the room experience is clean and cable-free for signal runs: the subwoofer and rear speakers connect wirelessly to the bar (they only need power). This avoids laying signal cables across the room and makes ideal placement easier. The system uses ULTIMEA’s CineMesh True Wireless with Dual 5G transmission and <20 ms latency, designed to keep the link stable even with everyday interference at home.
To enjoy Dolby Atmos, it’s best to use HDMI ARC/eARC; optical and Bluetooth don’t carry Atmos. If any speaker ever drops the link, re-pairing takes seconds using the Surround Level button on the remote and PAIR on the rear speaker.
Elegant subwoofer
The subwoofer stands out for its matte black design with gold details, a finish that pairs perfectly with any living-room style and conveys quality at first glance.

First “wow” moment
I felt it while playing Top Gun: Maverick: the engines, voices, and music filled the room with an impressive sense of immersion. Dolby Atmos is noticeable from the first second—the sound opens up, surrounds you, and maintains exceptional clarity even at higher volumes.
The wireless rear speakers add great depth and spaciousness, and the subwoofer reinforces the lows with punch and control. Thanks to its dual-magnet design and aerodynamic tuning, it reaches deep low frequencies without distortion. Gravus Ultra-Linear Bass keeps the sound clean even in intense scenes.
It’s true the rear speakers don’t provide height effects, but immersion is still outstanding within a 5.1.2 system.
General views of the setup

What I highlight the most
Conclusion
The Skywave X40 combines power, elegance, and sound quality that turns any at-home session into a true cinematic experience. It offers balanced, enveloping audio with well-thought-out technical details you notice in day-to-day use.
This is my most honest opinion after several days of use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Dolby Atmos without complications—and with a design that looks as good as it sounds.
