Soundbar [Community Event] šŸŽ§ Calling for Skywave X Series First-Ever Reviews! Win a $100 Amazon Gift Card! (Winners Announced!)

I had a Vizio V51-H6 5.1 soundbar system E-Arc hooked up to my Sony 90 series Bravia. That soundbar was horrible to auto connect to the tv thru the E-Arc connection. I recently purchased the Skywave X70 & NO more issues connecting to my Sony tv! Bravo! Interesting that the packaging was built up from the subwoofer as the base, then a really nice box with all the cords/cables, then the soundbar (3 parts) & then the satellite speakers on top. Well protected for shipment & the box of cords/cables has a very nice look to it, well presented. I have fought this issue of the Vizio soundbar for a couple of years, & it was awful to get that Vizio to switch from tv to the soundbar if it lost connection in any way. So far so good with the X70 as it's awesome sounding, great bass, & connects well to my Sony. I have always wondered if others have had Vizio issues or if it was just my unit, but I don't know. I did have some issues on the Bluetooth connection of the Subwoofer to the rear satellite speakers. Neither would pair just powering on, so I had to hold button in on sub to begin the connecting after putting both rear speakers in pairing mode. One of them connected but the other didn't connect. I then decided to unplug the speaker, plug it back in & re-enter pairing mode. After doing that it connected fine to the subwoofer. I haven't listened too much to actual Dolby Atmos content as of yet, but the Xupmix doesn't seem to do much for the up mixing from what I can tell so far. Maybe it's more the source, I don't know. It is pretty neat that you can hear the sound change some from left to right when somebody is speaking and turns their head to that direction. I have my rear satellite speakers up really high so I need to order a couple of brackets to angle them down some & inward a bit. I can't put them any lower with other placement issues. It can be tricky from what I have read to get a perfect setup for your sound system positioning. The app was an absolute moody problem to get it to see the soundbar, but once it did all is well. I think it may have been just a minor software issue, but I just keep tinkering with it until it connected to the app. I already had my first firmware update last evening with it, & let me tell you all that app is SWEET to enable updating of firmware through the app & it works great! No going to the computer to fetch or even look for the file, downloading/transferring to flash drive, then plugging in to soundbar to go through all of that to get firmware installed! It even automatically notified me that there was an update available for my X70 which is awesome, & far better than most often not even knowing if there is an update for the firmware or even getting notified without the app. Really a huge improvement. As far as the equalizer sounds the cinema for me is the only one that is the best of the best for everything, movies, music, whatever. To each their own of course, but going through all the choices I didn't find any others that was suitable to use in my opinion. I had concerns in my mind that the bass would possibly be strong at night time when the wifey goes to bed, but even with it on cinema with bass all the way up, treble & midrange in the center on the app which is that way by default, it is perfect & not overdone on bass at lower volumes. Now, on the volume controls I now can see the number on the tv & the soundbar both at the same time, and it goes up 1 at a time! That Vizio never showed me on the tv when changing volume unless I used the actual tv remote, then it would only change in 2's. This is a huge improvement for me to get sound exactly where I want it, & see it on tv and the X70. It cooperates very well with my Formuler Z11 Pro Max also, so if any of you here use this device it might be of good note to mention. I have ran in to something that somebody can help me understand. After connecting my Bluetooth up for the X70 to the tv, on the Bluetooth the rear satellite speakers don't work. No output of sound to the rear satellite speakers at all using it. It isn't a big deal really as I most likely won't use it, but may use it to stream music with my phone at times so I do wonder if this is normal or something is wrong as to why the rears won't work via Bluetooth. Originally I tried to use my Formuler with the HDMI input on the soundbar but that didn't work well at all so I just put it back on the port in the tv. I have no clue why it didn't like the connection but it really wasn't needed for me since the tv port worked fine. Overall a happy customer to own this beast!

I ordered some brackets for my rear speakers to angle/tilt them for better Atmos. With an eight foot ceiling & them being about 7 foot high I need to adjust them. As we all agree positioning is super important for overall sound quality. As inexpensive as they are plus the fact that they are really needed to better position them on the wall, WHY doesn't Ultimea include them with the package? This would be a very low expense upgraded way of Ultimea saying they care about your system & the ability to set things perfectly for our home theater experience! What say Ya'all???

Even if it's low it is still an expense. Giving the absolute rock bottom price for such great system I think you ask too much. If you order from Sony ,Samsung or other high value brands you are going to pay a lot more for less.

On the Ultimea website, there are offers that include accessories like stands or other freebies. I think it's understandable that a company also makes a profit selling accessories, right? And with the performance their equipment offers and the price they sell it for, I think asking for accessories too is a bit much. That's my opinion.šŸ¤—

Just got the Skywave X60 set up tonight. ;)
Honestly, I didn’t expect it to sound this good.
The bass is deep, warm, and kind of addictive.
Feels like every sound has its own space — super immersive.
I’ve been replaying my favorite movie scenes just to hear them again.

I totally get you! I dug out all the movie clips I'd saved up for years and listened to them all again! :ROFLMAO:

That isn't really how I see it. Since they can put a good amount of cost in to the presentation of the accessories box in these Skywave series, those adjustable brackets aren't anything in regards to cost. Plus it would show Ultimea truly cares about ones home theater experience. All their systems with rear speakers should include a set. We all have our thoughts & opinions, but this would be a step above the competition that would be well noticed by the consumer.
