1. It needs a volume control for the rear speakers set. Not independently like left-right channels but as a set. As it is now if the rear speakers are a bit further away I can't hear them at all.
If possible make it controllable in a future firmware update, at least through the application.
The team already acknowledged this issue in a comment on a different thread and I hope it's fixable through an OTA. I'm just adding here for more visibility.
2. Dolby Surround 5.1 tests fail.
With my old vizio when playing dolby tests videos on youtube on my LG TV the surround (rear) speakers are working ok, when the test is playing the sound for the rear left (surround left) I hear it on the rear left.
With the X60 it comes from the soundbar/front. Tried with upmixing on and off.
Why?
Shouldn't it still be on the rear speaker? Are the channels mixed in a wrong way?
The center channel was playing at the right test in both cases. So it looks like there is some problems in routing a 5.1 signal - the rear sound should be ... in the rear.
Is there no proper support for Dolby 5.1?
This video worked ok on my vizio, not on the X60 :
I tried a 7.1.4 test and seemed to be ok, the sound was playing on the right channels.
This video worked ok on the X60.
I'm on V8 firmware.
Can someone test these video on a their setup and report back if they hear the channels properly? Maybe my set is broken or something.
I will keep adding issues if I find more during tests but so far these 2 are the most important.
Build quality and sound quality seem ok otherwise.
