Soundbar Thoughts on the Ultimea Poseidon D60 – Dolby Atmos on a budget?

So I’ve been exploring some budget soundbar options recently and came across the Ultimea Poseidon D60. On paper, it actually looks way better than what most brands are offering in this price range.

What caught my eye:

Dolby Atmos support (usually missing in affordable bars)

Wireless subwoofer for cleaner setup

HDMI eARC – super useful if you’ve got a modern TV

400W output which sounds powerful enough for day-to-day use

Now, obviously specs don’t tell the whole story. What I’m curious about is how it actually performs in real rooms. Like – does the Atmos effect really create that overhead/immersive feel? Or is it more of a “virtual surround” that just widens the stage a bit?

I feel this could be a really solid choice for small to medium sized rooms where you don’t want a full 5.1 setup with wires everywhere. But I’d love to know from people who’ve tried it – how’s the dialogue clarity, bass response, and overall balance?

Also, price-wise, Ultimea seems aggressive compared to bigger brands. That makes me wonder if it’s the hidden gem of budget soundbars or just another spec-heavy product that doesn’t fully deliver.

Would love to hear your experiences or thoughts if anyone here has used it.

You can stop looking – the Poseidon D60 is the hidden gem you're hoping it is. 😅😂 I purchased the D60 recently and I have no regrets. The Dolby Atmos is the real deal. Run the Atmos test via Xbox Series X... It's genuinely impressive and creates that immersive feeling that truly fills a room, Dialogue is very clear, and the bass from the wireless sub is deep and impactful without getting muddy. The overall balance is fantastic, especially after the last firmware update! It absolutely delivers on all its specs and punches way above its price. Don't hesitate – you won't be disappointed!!! 🔈🔉🔊🦾

Thanks brother for your review, looking forward for D60 😍

I purchased the Poseidon D60 for the first system too. It has great sound and the wireless subwoofer nice and easy to setup without wires from the Soundbar to the sub, however, there are wires for the rear surround from the subwoofer, but that worked out great because I wanted the subwoofer behind my sofa so I would not only hear the bass but feel it as well. And, with the surround at each end of the sofa, the sound was great! I ended up spending more money and bought the Nova S80 7.1.2 for more immersive overhead and larger subwoofer with more power than the Posieson D60 5.1. they are both Atmos, which I live the sound that I get from every system I purchased so far. I recommend the Nova S80 if you can swing the price though. And if you get the Posieson D60 get the Boom so you get the cell phone app and equalizer as well as the Dolby Atmos. I just want to let you know the D60 and the S80 both rock and provide the sound I believe you are looking for! Good luck with your decision and best wishes!

Hi, I think the Poseidon D60 5.1 doesn't come in the Boom version. Only the Poseidon M60 is Boom, but it doesn't have rear speakers.
There is also the D80 Boom but it is 7.1.
To be confirmed by the Ultimea team

I'm pretty sure that the D60 was the very first of the Posiedon model that I saw was both Dolby Atmos and had the app for the phone with the only distinction being the Boom added on the end, which I was like, AWWW MAN, I wish they had that when I bought mine, I would have definitely gotten the D60 Boom! C'est La'vie!

I think my friend Kito is right, so far I haven't seen a D60 boom, I've looked in every corner of the Ultimaea store and I don't see anything, maybe I'm confusing it with the M60 boom
