I just got my Skywave X70, and man this thing is the "SHIZNIT," LIKE FOR REAL!!! The surround and up firing are very dirtinguishable, and the sound is "MOST EXCELLENT, DUDE!!!" I have all my settings jacked to highest or almost highest, on the equalizer, because I like powerful sounding movies and music. Well this "PUPPY" is almost too loud at volume level 08, for just casual watching, which is excellent! I will wait until tomorrow before I crank it up for a really good Atmos sound movie, supposedly, and rewatch the newest Bladerunner, or something equivalent, like maybe Jurassic World, or something similar. I got my new TV that is Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos right through the TV speakers, let alone the Soundbar home theater sound system! This system is really RAD, and I am definitely digging it, ya get what I'm saying?! I'm a give it a week test run before I do a full review, but so far I have beenge watching some shows that I have been wanting too watch, not sure if they are broadcast in Atmos or not though, because Prime doesn't list anything about the sound or video quality that they are streaming too me, unless I am missing some unknown cheat code to determine what the stats are on the shows on Prime! Netflix tells right in the description of the show all the formats, but only if you have the capability to see or gear to use it with your hardware and most likely the subscription level as well as Internet speed. Not to worry though, I got plenty of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision capable subscriptions to put this system through the test.
I was somewhat disappointed in the Nova S90 as I thought it would have been closer to what I am getting with this Skywave X70, especially since the Nova S80 is better, in my opinion, than the Nova S90, by a lot! Especially since I ended up bricking 2 of them just updating the firmware using Ultimeas update.zip file to update the first one to get the sound a bit better, and then I was able to successfully update the second one, but had issues with the update and I tried to down grade it, according to their published factory original update.zip file and the second one bricked on me. So, because I had such great experiences from the Poseidon D60, Nova S80, and Nova C40 projector, I decided to get in on the Skywave X70 and just at the right time too! Man, what luck was that, I ended up with a muchly better system with this massive 10" subwoofer that has a response rate of 20Hz, which is pretty darn low, if ya catch my drift?! And I got the earliest bird special pricing and Ultimea, true to their word, gave excellent after care for their systems and refunded me my purchase price on the Nova S90, which was muchly appreciated! Love you guys at Altimea!!!
