Skywave x40 Comes on very loud

Hi not sure if anyone else gets this with the new line of skywaves

Sometimes when the soundbar is turned on, it's extremely loud and the sub is very loud for like three seconds then the system settles. The volume doesn't increase on the display during this, it's only on turning the device off and back on

Hello,

Thank you for raising this question. We fully understand your concern about the sudden, sudden booming sound when turning on your speakers, which can be detrimental to your user experience.

The brief, excessive volume and subwoofer sound during startup may be caused by the following reasons:
1. During startup, the amplifier module powers up before the volume control module, causing a brief burst of maximum volume before the user's preset volume setting is applied.

2. If the subwoofer and main soundbar's wireless connection or startup sequence are out of sync, the subwoofer may power up before the main speakers, resulting in a separate, loud bass output.

We recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Turn the volume down before turning off the speakers and see if the issue persists upon startup.

2. Adjust the EQ and bass settings in the app. Try reducing the subwoofer gain to see if this alleviates the excessive bass during startup.

We hope this helps and look forward to your response. 🙏

Thanks for your reply, but it's nothing to do with volume levels. It does this at volume level 2 and bass on zero.

I think I have found the fault. When the soundbar has been off for a while, the subwoofer and surround mostly drop the connection, you have to turn off the soundbar again and back on, at this point you see the lights come on the rear speakers and the subwoofer and this is when they blast out at say like a volume level of 30 or more. This happens for around 3 seconds but is very annoying and wakes the whole house up.

We have confirmed with our engineers that there is a low probability that the subwoofer sound will emit a loud prompt sound. The new version is currently under testing and is expected to be released next week. You can then upgrade the software firmware through the APP. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Our technical support team will do its best to assist you in completely resolving this issue. 🙏

Hi, I’ve been testing the Skywave X40 for a week and I haven’t experienced that kind of noise when turning it on.
One possible solution is to disable the power-on/off sound from the ULTIMEA Home app.
To do this, open the app → select your device → go to SettingsPower-on/off sound and set it to OFF.

That should prevent the initial volume spike. 🙏
