My first experience with setting up a surround sound system was with a mid to late 1980's wood cabinet stereo with floor speakers, two satellite SP (https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...?key=RDlxc3g3RXE2TzNZZTBaWUJIcEFzY0dWNm1sTXh3) (not the same make) and a mid 1990's Big Box RCA TV. One night I decided to go to Blockbuster to rent the Newly Released Dune Series. When I returned home I started watching the Series (Movie) , at first I just wasn't feeling it.
There I was with an epic Series and just couldn't get into it. So I got the brite idea to try to find some speaker wire along with old school connectors and went to work. Couldn't tell you how long it took but let's just say it was a while. Had to figure out how to connect the stereo with floor speakers, Big Screen tv, DVD player and satellite speakers none of which were the same brand, using whatever wire and connectors I could find. I even decided to run the wiring for the satellite speakers under the floor which meant drilling holes and longer wires. After a while I finished setting up, thankfully I tend to hang onto wires and used cords and connectors just in case. Understand I'm not a Professional but when determined and put my mind to something like meshing together a Frankenstein stero, tv, VCR each from different decades I can do a decent good job. So I get everything fixed up and went back to watching Dune and was so happy. Not only for deciding on the build, but also getting it right
. Watching the Dune Series any other way would have a travesty. The richness of the large floor speakers and even the echo from my satellite speakers made me feel like I was inside the movie. Since then technology has come a long way. What used to take a lot of space and time now takes a fraction of that. With the development of the sound bar and Bluetooth it's made things not just easy, but for those who may feel intimidated about putting together a sound system, it's now a breeze. Thankfully today we have forward thinking companies like Ultimea putting in the effort to bring us the kind of sound you used to have to go to movie theaters to get. Now the system I have, the Aura A40, does have room to grow but I love it. I don't regret for a second about buying from a company I honestly didn't know much about, but I had heard about them. Up until now I had to keep it simple...still can't go all out. Thankfully with Ultimea that's not a problem. For those looking to buy a system on a modest budget like me to the Audio Enthusiast with a larger budget, Ultimea has it all, for great reasonable prices. From entry level surround sound to immersive Dolby Atmos that makes you feel like you've been wrapped up in a rich atmosphere of Movies and Music. Personal I can't wait to see what the next level will bring
