The built-in Android TV 11.0 makes this Nova C40 projector a familiar and convenient option for those who have used Android devices before. It provides direct access to streaming services without the need to connect to a computer via HDMI. Android TV also supports Chromecast for easy casting from Android devices. For iOS users, there’s a built-in app called “AirStream” that allows for screen mirroring. The user manual is quite easy to follow. Although I couldn’t initialize the projector directly from my Android device—despite being tech-savvy—I simply entered the WiFi password and my Google account manually, which worked just fine. Setting up my Prime Video and Netflix accounts was also quick and effortless.
Using the USB port, the projector can read FAT32-formatted flash drives and play videos stored in multiple formats. Both auto keystone correction and autofocus work great—just point the projector at a wall, and it automatically adjusts the image and focus accordingly. The projector can rotate, allowing you to project onto higher surfaces or even the ceiling, which is awesome. The fan runs fairly quietly and isn’t distracting.
The dual speakers are decently sized and produce surprisingly good sound, more than enough for a larger room or content with rich audio. There’s also a 3.5mm AUX port for connecting external amps or speakers, and Bluetooth 5.3 provides another solid option for wireless audio.
